The Inuvialuit Living History Gathering will be held at East Three Secondary School in Inuvik from September 26 to 28, 2018.
This three-day extravaganza, co-hosted by the school, Inuvialuit Living History Project, Inuvialuit Cultural Centre, Inuvialuit Communications Society, Parks Canada, and Prince of Wales Northern Heritage Centre (PWNHC), will bring together Inuvialuit storytellers, artisans, hunters, and traditional practitioners with Inuvialuit museum collections and curators from PWNHC in Yellowknife and Parks Canada in Winnipeg.
East Three students from grade 5 to grade 12 will participate in cultural activities during each of the days. The public are invited to take part on Wednesday, September 26 beginning at 6:00 p.m. for an evening of drum dancing, a traditional games display, craft sale, and community feast hosted by East Three School.
We hope you can take part in the event and view the artifacts that will be displayed.
