Mackenzie Hotel in Inuvik is seeking a skilled and motivated Housekeeping Manager to oversee the efficient operation of our housekeeping department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction in all areas of the hotel. As the Housekeeping Manager, you will lead a team of housekeeping staff, coordinate daily tasks, and ensure a comfortable and welcoming environment for our guests. This role requires strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
The ideal candidate will have the following combination of education, experience, and knowledge:
- Proven experience (3+ years) in a housekeeping supervisory or managerial role in a hotel setting.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
- Familiarity with housekeeping procedures and best practices.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures.
- Ability to handle and resolve guest complaints and concerns.
- Understanding of budgeting and cost control principles.
- Flexibility to work shifts and weekends as needed.
