Reporting to the Nanilavut Project Manager the Nanilavut Program Planning Advisor will work to provide research, support to families in the Inuvialuit Settlement Region (ISR) (I.e., from arranging travel to drafting technical reports) on any new initiatives related to the Nanilavut Project. The ideal candidate will have the following combination of education, experience and knowledge:
- Grade 12 Diploma.
- Certificate or Diploma in the Health and Wellness field considered an asset.
- Experience with Data Analysis would be an asset.
- Two years of experience working with Indigenous people in community settings.
- Successfully passing an RCMP Criminal Record Check, and Vulnerable Sector Check and will need to pass a Government of Canada Security Screening Clearance.
Travel will be required within the ISR and outside the NWT from time to time.
Ability to work in a cross-cultural environment is very important.
Priority consideration will be given to beneficiaries of the Inuvialuit Final Agreement.
