Regional Youth Coordinator

We are hiring an energetic, customer service-oriented Regional Youth Coordinator to join our team! This individual is responsible for working on individual, community and regional youth mental health and wellness programs. The Regional Youth Coordinator will be required to consult work plans, strategies and research findings specific to Inuit, to guide programming and support for the youth in the region. They will also serve an integral role in keeping the Regional Youth Advisory Group active and engaged in their mandate. 


The ideal candidate will have the following combination of education, experience, and knowledge:

  • Certificate or diploma in a field related to youth, health, or social sciences
  • Two years of related hands-on experience working with at-risk or high-risk youth
  • Experience leading and coordinating youth programming, preferably related to health and wellness  
  • Fluency in local Aboriginal languages would be considered an asset 
  • Previous work experience in a remote northern location and work with Indigenous organizations would be considered assets
  • Demonstrated capacity to maintain confidentiality
  • Flexible work hours may be scheduled from time to time to meet needs
  • Knowledge of Inuvialuit Final Agreement would be considered an asset
