Application process for on-the-land support now open

June 27, 2025

Applications open today for funding to support summer on-the-land activities for beneficiaries living in the Inuvialuit Settlement Region.

Time spent on the land is an opportunity to be with family and friends. It’s a time to focus on culture, healing and strengthening family bonds. This funding makes it easier for IFA beneficiaries living in the region to reconnect to the land and, in so doing, to who they are.

The first deadline for applications is July 3, 2025 at 5:00PM – MST

Vouchers will be ready for use in stores on Friday, July 11.

If you need more time to complete your on-the-land application, you can submit an application until the program closes on July 10 at 5:00PM – MST.  With this final deadline, vouchers will be available in stores by Friday, July 18.

How it works

  • Funds are available to support spending time on the land this summer.
  • One application per beneficiary household. Must be living within the Inuvialuit Settlement Region.
  • Approved households will receive a voucher for $250 gas and $350 for groceries.
  • Vouchers for successful applicants will be available in stores.
  • Please be sure to indicate your preferred gas station and grocery store on the application.

If you have any questions about this program or need assistance with your application, please contact our reception desk at 867.777.7000.

Be mindful of the weather, and safe summer travels to all!
