Inuvialuit Regional Corporation encourages vaccines including COVID-19 Booster (40+) and Influenza (all eligible)

October 22, 2021

Jimmy Arey receives his influenza vaccine in 2020 from Public Health.

The Inuvialuit Regional Corporation is pleased that the opportunity to receive vaccine booster shots is set to open across the Inuvialuit Settlement Region.  IRC encourages the use of this opportunity so that, together, we can guard Elders and vulnerable people while enhancing overall community immunity across the region.

Receiving an influenza flu shot will also help to avoid symptoms and contribute to individual wellness.  The GNWT Public Health information states that both influenza and COVID-19 booster shots can be received at the same time.

“The Inuvialuit Regional Corporation appreciates the consistent commitment of beneficiaries and community members to take COVID-19 measures seriously, and especially the willingness to receive each of your vaccines.  Further, we commend ISR communities who continue to devote quick action to encourage and assist in vaccination clinics, ensuring members have the information, transportation and the utmost community support to receive their individual vaccines.”

– Duane Ningaqsiq Smith, IRC Chair and CEO
