International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples
Inuvialuit women play a central role in our communities in the preservation and transmission of traditional knowledge. In honour of the United Nations’ International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples, IRC wishes to recognize the historic and ongoing contributions of all Inuvialuit women in help to preserve and pass on our traditional knowledge.
Here are just a few of the Inuvialuit women, past and present, who inspire our continued efforts to preserve Inuvialuit cultural identity.
