A reminder about the COVID-19 safety measures in place

November 14, 2021

The Inuvialuit Regional Corporation would like to remind everyone living in the region as well as all Inuvialuit wherever you currently reside of the importance of adhering to all Public Health Orders and recommendations against the spread of COVID-19.

IRC’s prayers are now with the families and community of Tuktoyaktuk.

Stamina in your individual efforts not to gather, to stay 2 meters apart and to always wear masks indoors outside your own home is vital for the health of the whole community.

Continue to monitor yourself for symptoms so that you can isolate at any, first, sign you may feel.  Do not take any chances.  This is for the protection of Elders, children who can not yet get the vaccine, and of our most vulnerable who are especially at risk from this pandemic virus.  We need to do everything we can at this time to maintain our vigilance and to take COVID-19 precautions seriously for their continued wellbeing.

IRC is praying for the recovery of those who are now sick.  We are also thinking of families who need to be in isolation because of exposure risks.
