Project Bid Request: Inuvialuit Harpoon Flagpoles

Inuvialuit Regional Corporation invites Inuvialuit artisans to submit bids for the design, creation and delivery of five custom flagpoles in the shape of traditional harpoons. These flagpoles will be used to celebrate and showcase Inuvialuit culture at community events throughout the region. 

Project Overview

• Item Description: Five flagpoles designed to resemble traditional harpoons, incorporating culturally significant designs and materials where possible.
• Intended Use: The flagpoles will serve as symbolic and functional installations for community events, representing the spirit and traditions of the Inuvialuit.
• Timeline: Completion and delivery by March 31, 2025
• Budget: The budget for the project will be determined based on the submitted bids and must be outlined in detail.

Submission Requirements

1. Design Proposal:

-A detailed description of the proposed design, including dimensions, materials and any cultural or artistic elements.

-Sketches, drawings or digital renderings of the proposed flagpole design.

2. Budget Proposal:

-A detailed breakdown of costs, including materials, labour and any additional expenses.

-Total project cost.

3. Timeline:

-A proposed timeline for the design, creation and delivery of the flagpoles, ensuring the project is completed by the specified deadline.

Evaluation Criteria

Submissions will be evaluated based on the following:

• Artistic and cultural relevance of the design.
• Quality and durability of proposed materials.
• Feasibility and clarity of the budget and timeline.

Submission Deadline

All bids must be submitted by Feb 7. Late submissions will not be considered.

Submission Process
