Stay ahead of illness: Home testing kits for the flu (Influenza AB) + COVID-19 now available

In partnership with Public Health, IRC is distributing test kits to help detect illness quicker to reduce the spread.

Kits will be available at all ISR community corporation offices. In Inuvik, kits can be picked up 8:30am-5:00pm Monday to Friday at IRC’s Health & Wellness division office (first floor, Inuvialuit Corporate Centre). Available while supplies last.

People at higher risk of getting very sick from viruses include:

·         Elders

·         Infants and young children

·         Pregnant women

·         People with chronic health conditions (e.g. obesity, asthma, lung, heart or kidney disease or diabetes)

·         People with weaker immune systems (e.g. cancer)
