North of Infinity Research (NOIR)

North of Infinity Research (NOIR) is an independent, Inuvialuit-led research practice specializing in the reclamation of Indigenous data and the navigation of complex institutional archives. It provides technical and culturally informed support to individuals and organizations through:

• Targeted ATIP & Privacy Filings: Acting as an authorized representative to file, track and follow up on access to information and privacy (ATIP) requests. This includes retrieving internal personnel files, government communications and institutional records while absorbing the administrative friction for the client.
• Archival & Historical Research: Conducting specialized searches across federal, provincial and private archives to locate declassified documents, residential school records and missing family histories, specifically supporting the repatriation of Inuvialuit records.
• Information Navigation & Education: Providing process support for individuals navigating government portals and developing accessible visual resources (tutorials and slide decks) to empower community members to manage their own information requests.
