Inuvialuit Regional Corporation (IRC) represents the interests of the Inuvialuit under the Inuvialuit Final Agreement, a modern treaty under s. 35 of the Constitution Act, 1982. To support the IRC mandate, we are currently seeking an HR Recruiter to work with our Human Resources team at the Inuvialuit Corporate Centre in Inuvik, Northwest Territories.
Reporting to the Human Resources Manager (HRM), the Human Resource (HR) Recruiter plays an integral role in providing skill and support in the areas of recruitment, Employee Relations and HR Administration in respect to Human Resource Management for the Inuvialuit Corporate Group.
Ideally, the HR Recruiter will be a good communicator both verbally and in writing, have high level customer service skills to promote a positive corporate culture, and proven success in efficient recruiting processes. Works collaboratively and stays aligned within a team to accelerate when required to obtain the best candidate; supporting others and fostering a positive team environment. This position requires a high level of experience in promoting the use of best practices in recruitment. The incumbent will be expected to complete the recruitment process from start to finish in a timely manner. The incumbent will continually seek to improve their knowledge, skills, and work processes of oneself and others. Must be aware of the Employment Standards Act NWT; Workers Compensation Act; NWT Safety Act; Canada Labour Code.
Qualifications should include three to five years of work experience related to recruitment and a post secondary degree, preferably in Human Resource Management or related field. This position requires a Certified Human Resource Professional designation (CPHR). IRC offers a competitive compensation package in addition to generous northern living allowance and benefits.
