Inuvialuit Arbitration Board

The Inuvialuit Arbitration Board (IAB) is the dispute mechanism body established via Section 18 of the Inuvialuit Final Agreement. The IAB’s mandate is to arbitrate differences in the various parties’ interpretation or application of the Inuvialuit Final Agreement. The parties include: Inuvialuit (IRC), Government of Canada, the Government of the Northwest Territories, the Government of Yukon or industry.

Anyone who has been denied enrolment as an Inuvialuit beneficiary may also appeal the denial to the IAB.
