She possesses extensive experience in board governance, policy and records management, strategic planning support as well as the implementation of organizational systems and processes.
In her new role as chief operating officer, Shortreed will oversee day‑to‑day operational functions, support strategic implementation, strengthen internal systems and processes, and ensure alignment across corporate services and business units. She will work closely with the chair & CEO, along with senior leadership and boards to support operational effectiveness, accountability and long‑term organizational objectives.
Outside of her professional role, she is deeply connected to her community and grounded in family life. She lives in Inuvik with her husband and their two daughters, while their oldest daughter lives South. She values the balance between leadership, service and family.
Shortreed’s knowledge of the organization, governance skills, and people-focused leadership style make her an asset for ongoing growth and operational success.
